How this calculation works
Look up the scheduled monthly APY contribution for a joining age and one of the five pension slabs. This is a contribution-table lookup, not an investment-growth calculation: increasing an assumed return is not an available way to reduce the scheduled contribution. The total is the sum of regular monthly payments through age 60.
Worked example
This example uses illustrative inputs. Your current result is shown above.
At joining age 30 with the ₹5,000 monthly pension slab, the table gives ₹577 per month. There are 30 contribution years, so scheduled payments total ₹577 × 12 × 30 = ₹2,07,720. The table’s indicative nominee corpus for this slab is ₹8,50,000.
Assumptions and limits
- The chosen age is the joining age, within this table’s supported 18–40 range.
- All scheduled monthly contributions are paid through age 60; delays, penalties and changes of pension slab are not included.
- The table lookup does not confirm subscriber eligibility, account status or the conditions for survivor and nominee benefits.
Questions people ask
Why does a later joining age require a larger monthly payment?
The prescribed table has fewer contribution years remaining before age 60. The result is looked up from that age-specific schedule rather than recalculated from a market return.
Is the nominee corpus a lump sum I can add to my own pension?
No. It represents a distinct scheme benefit under the applicable nominee conditions. It is not shown as an extra payment freely available to the subscriber at retirement.
Can this tell me whether I am eligible to join?
No. Age is checked for the table, but other current eligibility conditions must be checked with PFRDA or the enrolling institution.
