Versioned local data
Tax slabs, PPF reference rates, university conversion rules and currency reference rates are stored with source links, effective dates and review dates. RBI, CBIC, PFRDA, WHO, NIST, BIPM and IANA references are attached to the relevant calculator families. The browser does not fetch these values from a paid API at calculation time.
Update cadence
Tax and budget-linked rules are reviewed after official enactment or notification. Small-savings rates are reviewed when the Department of Economic Affairs publishes a quarterly notice. University formulas change only when the institution publishes a scheme-specific rule.

- Pure mathematical constants and formulas are tested but do not need a recurring data feed.
Current sensitive rules
The salary calculator is labelled for India Tax Year 2026–27. The PPF default is 7.1%, reviewed against the Department of Economic Affairs Q2 FY 2026–27 notice. Supported university records show the exact named scheme on the result page.
