Assumptions and limits
- The entered annual tax already includes applicable cess and special-rate tax.
- Interest for shortfall or deferment is excluded; verify the applicable tax year and taxpayer eligibility.
- A resident senior citizen without income from business or profession is modelled as not liable to advance tax when that option is selected.
Questions people ask
How does the Advance Tax Calculator work?
It applies this displayed method: Advance-tax liability = estimated annual tax − TDS/TCS − entered credits. The regular cumulative schedule is 15%, 45%, 75%, and 100%; presumptive taxpayers pay 100% by 15 March. Liability below ₹10,000 is treated as outside the advance-tax threshold. Values stay in your browser and are not submitted to a server.
