How this calculation works
Choose the institution and the exact programme or scheme named in your records, then enter the grade point. The same grade can convert differently under different published rules. The selected equation and scheme accompany the answer so you can compare them with your transcript; a matching university name alone is not enough.

Select VTU 2015/2017/2018 and enter 8.2: subtract 0.75 to obtain 7.45, then multiply by 10. The converted percentage is 74.5%. This example applies only to the named schemes.
Assumptions and limits
- Use only a supported rule whose programme, regulation and cohort match your records; this list is not a claim of a universal or latest university-wide rule.
- The calculator applies the recorded equation and display rounding, not an admissions office’s independent equivalence policy.
- A calculated result is not a certificate. If the published equation produces an implausible percentage for your input, verify the scheme and its permitted grade range rather than substituting another formula.
Questions people ask
My university is listed, but my scheme is different. Can I still use it?
Do not assume equivalence. Check the scheme, programme and cohort on the source notice. Use the examination office’s rule if your records do not match a supported entry.
Why does Mumbai round differently?
The recorded circular specifies upward integer rounding for its named CBCS scope. Other listed rules use two-decimal display rounding here; official transcript instructions take precedence.
What if my institution uses a simple multiplier not listed here?
Use the custom CGPA-to-percentage converter with your documented multiplier. It cannot express rules with offsets or special rounding.
